Housekeeping disinfecting and cleaning routines

We have started a special cleaning procedure in each apartment during the period we have Covid-19 virus in the country. Please read the instructions below on how each apartment cleaning is handled.

Each apartment is kept untouched for 3 days after a check out. The reason is that Covid-19 virus has a different time span how long it can survive on different surfaces. 3 days will be long enough for the virus to decease on most surfaces in the apartment.

Before the cleaning takes place each housekeeping personnel make sure that they have one-time-use gloves, apron and shoe covers which will be thrown away after each cleaning.

Cleaning equipment and procedure inside the apartment:

• All the surfaces besides the ones that have any contact with food are treated with Biocid disinfectant.
• Different colored cloths are used on different purpose surfaces.
• Before each cleaning routine takes place in apartment the bedlinen must be removed and placed in a bag and garbage must be thrown away.
• A new pair of one-time-use gloves will be used before starting cleaning in another room to avoid carrying the potential virus to another room.

Kitchen:

1. Usual cleaning routines
2. After kitchen has been cleaned a high temperature steamer will be used on the following details:
   • Kitchen surface
   • Kitchen cabinet handles
   • Surface of the dishwasher, oven and cooking top
   • Light switches and wall outlets

Bedroom:

• Set on new bedlinen and make up the bed.
• Usual cleaning routines before applying disinfectant.
• Use disinfectant spray and/or steam cleaner on the following particulars:
  – Light switches and wall outlets
  – Door- and window handle
  – Wardrobe handle
  – Hangers in the wardrobe

Livingroom:

1. Usual cleaning routines before applying disinfectant.
2. Use disinfectant and/or steam cleaner on the following places:

• TV-remote
• Floor lamp switch
• Light switches and wall outlets
• Door- and window handles
• Dinner table and tables that are alongside

Bathroom:

1. Usual cleaning routines before applying disinfectant
2. Use the disinfectant spray on the following:

• Floor
• Toilet seat
• Shower head
• Sink tap
• Any handle of bathroom furniture
• Hairdryer
• Floor heating adjustment panel
• Lights switches and wall outlets
